Children in Scotland is seeking self employed freelance trainers to deliver quality specialised training across Scotland. Specific areas of interest include services for fathers, additional support needs and integrated children’s services, but if you have experience delivering training on any area relating to children and young people, we would like to hear from you.

Joint Improvement Team/Scottish Government Secondment Opportunity — Children’s Commissioning Development Programme Manager

The Joint Improvement Team is based within the Health and Social Care Integration Directorate in the Scottish Government and works directly with the Children and Families Directorate as well as local health and social care partnerships, the voluntary sector and the independent sector to improve health, social care and children’s services. The Joint Improvement Team is involved in helping to achieve the aims of the Children and Young Peoples (Scotland) Bill 2014 by developing effective commissioning arrangements across the landscape of children’s services.

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates with experience and knowledge of children’s services, joint strategic commissioning and partnership working involving the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors to fill a secondment position within the Joint Improvement Team.

This secondment offers an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and experience of joint commissioning between the statutory, voluntary and independent sector, from a national perspective.

The secondment will be for a two year period and will be based at St Andrews House in Edinburgh but will be required to travelthroughout Scotland.
