Past Projects
Children in Scotland has run a number of projects focusing on various areas of child policy.



One Step Beyond
A three-year project providing targeted training for professionals and young people, a young persons’ e-network and increased participation in the policy process at local and national levels.

Opening Doors to Learning

Details of a two year project funded by the Esme Fairbairn Foundation which investigated whether current policies and initiatives are meeting the needs of children who require additional support for learning.

Growing Up in Rural Scotland
This programme aimed to improve the lives of children by supporting those involved in planning, providing and working in rural early years children' s services and it is funded by the Scottish Executive.

Children, Fathers and Fatherhood
Details of a three year project which aimed to promote good practice in providing services and support for fathers and to assist them in acting as positive influences in the lives of their children or children for whom they are carers.

Parents as Educators
The project helped parents of children with disabilities to develop their knowledge base, self-confidence and skills and to share these with other parents and professionals.
