Cross-Party Group on Children and Young People

The Cross-Party Group on Children and Young People seeks to ensure that issues affecting children and young people are recognised and discussed throughout the workings of the Scottish Parliament, in order to ensure that the needs and rights of children and young people are met throughout Scotland.

The Cross-Party Group on Children and Young People has re-registered for the new Parliamentary session and has appointed new convenors. Members of the group will need to re-subsrcibe for the next session.

Next meeting


The next meeting of the Cross-Party group on Children and Young People will take place on 04 September 2008 when Parliament reconvenes after the summer recess.

June meeting overview:

The most recent meeting of the cross-party group on children and young people was held on 26 June 2008. The meeting was chaired by Aileen Campbell MSP. The meeting was on the theme of Children's Rights and members heard presentations from Article 12, SCCYP and SACR representatives and discussed the UNCRC reporting process.
