Equal Futures
Equal Futures: children and young people building racial equality was a 3 year project, co-ordinated by Children in Scotland, with financial support from the Scottish Executive and the Commission for Racial Equality, to bring together children, young people, planners, policy makers and practitioners to discuss, debate and progress racial equality.

Background
In an effort to further the debate in multi ethnic Scotland, and to support young people building racial equality with their priorities in mind, Equal Futures was established to run three national conferences in November 2001, November 2002 and December 2003.

With in excess of 1000 delegates, and in excess of 600 children and young people at the first two conferences, Equal Futures continues to provide a vital, national platform for children and young people to net work with each other whilst making their view heard with politicians, policy makers and practitioners.

What's happening now
Reports from the 3rd national conference - Racial equality starts with each of us, which took place on 2nd December 2003, SECC Glasgow.
