The policy department exists to:
Promote the development and awareness of policies and legislation which will improve the quality of life for Scotland’s children and their families.

Enable the exchange of information on all policy and parliamentary matters relating to Scotland’s children and their families between children and young people, parents, policymakers and politicians.

Promote the participation of children, young people and parents in decision making processes and work to develop good practice at local, national and European levels.
