The policy department is currently undertaking work in the following areas:

Mediation

Participation

Children in Scotland is working with Headsup Scotland, Barnardo's and Penumbra on improving children and young people's involvement in mental health and well-being.

A new mental health development worker for young people's participation has been appointed, based at the mental health charity Penumbra in Edinburgh.

Policy information

Children in Scotland has developed a child policy information website, www.childpolicyinfo.childreninscotland.org.uk, This website contains accessible, comprehensive and up-to-date policy information relating to children and young people in Scotland. The website also contains a comprehensive directory of developments since 2002. The website has been developed as part of the 4 Nations Child Policy Network.
