Participate Participate Providing quality arts training, stimulating quality information and good practice exchange, and contributing to national policy development on children’s participation in the arts. more This one-day workshop demonstrates how drama activities can build children’s confidence and self esteem, sharpen their thinking and communication skills and develop the whole child, influencing their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and their perspective of the wider world. Drama encourages group dynamics, teamwork, problem solving and is a way of tackling complex issues. It can be used as an effective tool for consultation and evaluation, assessment and reflection, or to facilitate cross-curricular or inter-disciplinary learning. Above all, drama is a fun way to engage and involve children. In this practical workshop you will experience a range of drama games and activities and be shown, through your own participation, how to use them with children in formal and informal learning contexts. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a go and join in! |
