Wealth of a Nation: building smarter services for Scotland's children and young people
Children in Scotland Annual Conference 2010
Ref: 1407 - Conference

Children in Scotland’s 2010 annual conference will challenge your thinking about the way we organise and deliver our services, how we work with families and whether we can develop workforce roles and qualifications which reflect smarter thinking.

This year’s conference will examine how smarter thinking and reprioritisation of resources are essential in improving the lives of Scotland’s children and young people across childhood, from pre-birth provision to increasing numbers of young people going on to further and higher education and becoming life long learners.

How can we work together more effectively in getting it right and improving childhood for every child and young person?

We promise that delegates attending this conference will:

  • hear from researchers and policy makers about reprioritising resources and making a difference to children’s lives
  • hear about how inequality impacts on the health of children, young people, and their families
  • learn from practitioners across Scotland and from other countries about how they are succeeding in making a difference.

In 2009, 100% of delegates attending our annual conference agreed that we delivered on our conference promise.
